Why you should visit your dentist
Your teeth are your best friend; look after them, and they will look after you. Think about it – to survive, you need food (and water), but lets look at food for a moment. Your teeth are absolutely vital in the process of getting sustainence into your body by starting the process of breaking down food into smaller pieces that can then be digested and eventually turned into the important building blocks your body needs to grow and repair. They are also very often overlooked in alternative health. Visiting your dentist should be part of your routine, just like taking care of your body with yoga.
Many people absolutely hate going to the dentist. They are scared of sitting in the dentist chair, surrounded by all the strange equpment. But all that new dental equipment needn’t scare you just because it is unfamiliar. It just the tools of the trade that your dentist needs to give you a check up. And remember, your dentist is doing more than simply hunting for cavities. For example, they will be on the lookout for early signs of oral cancer and gum disease. Every hour of every day, someone dies of oral cancer which is often highly curable if diagnosed early. This alone is a good enough reason to visit your dentist. Gum disease again can be treated and reversed if diagnosed early, but if not, it becomes more serious and has been linked to heart disease and strokes.
Go get your teeth checked! You owe it to yourself.
