Oversized yoga mats

I just bumped into Square 36′s oversized yoga mats. What a fantastic idea. Regular yoga mats, as they point out are great for optimising the number of people in a yoga studio, but not great for optimising your yoga or workout space. I wonder what shipping to the UK on one of these puppies costs?

Looking for Ancient Tibet

A documentary that went in search of isolated power places in East Tibet to find the last living holders of a thousand year old Yogi tradition.

Yantra Mat Review

It seems to me that my two year old has become the resident customs official and postmaster general of my household – nothing gets through the door without her say so and pretty much all post gets opened and inspected by her before it is handed over to its rightful owner with a flourish and [...]

Yoga to the people

WRXPEUBVF3HF I found Yoga to the People at the simply peachy. How awesome is the idea? Seriously. Someone should open one of these in London! There will be no correct clothes. The Yoga Cult

An interesting article about a cult that used yoga as one of its draw cards. And in a similar vein, here’s a little something on Fake Gurus. There’s a lot of thought provoking info in both of those articles. It is always sad when people use something like yoga to basically enslave others when true [...]

Kick start your new decade yoga with a little blog reading

We are well into the new year now, and it’s just about that time when the novelty wears off and we really start to flag a little on the old new year’s resolution. So, to help you out on a chilly Monday morning in the office (possibly your first work day back from the festive [...]

Make training a habit

New Year’s Eve always brings out the resolutions. I know many people use the new year as a time to renew their commitment to their training – yoga, tai chi, pilates, music, makko ho whatever it is.

Yoga and the Tabata Method

Even though I’m an advocate of slow, relaxed and dare I say gentle exercise, variety is the spice of life. I’ve been playing around with the tabata protocol a few times a week – using it as a good morning workout when I’m short on time as so often happens around this time of year.
