Make training a habit

New Year’s Eve always brings out the resolutions. I know many people use the new year as a time to renew their commitment to their training – yoga, tai chi, pilates, music, makko ho whatever it is.

How do we make sure we stick to our commitment and resolutions? The answer is simple – make it a habit. How do you make it a habit. The answer again is simple. Take one thing – one asana, one application, one movement from your form, one exercise and do it every day for 100 days. No excuses. Keep a written log prominently and cross off each day as you keep forming your habit. After one hundred days, it will feel wrong to not train every day.

Sounds simple, but keeping to the 100 days is a challenge.

I wish you all a happy new year and good training.
