Ido Portal’s blog
Though not really about yoga, Ido’s blog talks a lot about physical therapy through movement. Ido is an incredibly well trained athlete who seems to work a lot with gymnastics and Capoeira. What’s great about his blog at the moment is he is posting up a lot of his workouts with links to videos so you can see what he is talking about, and if you are feeling brave attempt some of them yourself. I’ve worked through a few of his posted workouts and they are great fun, well thought out and pretty challenging as well. He puts in beginner, intermediate and advanced versions of the workout so you can find the right level for yourself and also so you can see the progression from basic exercise through to the more advanced aspect of it. Look at the latest post he has about a reverse corta capim sequence for a great example of his work.
As I said, not specifically yoga related, but at the same time his training and Capoeira demand a level of fitness, control and flexibility that most of us can only aspire to. Props to Ido for obviously training so hard!
